Horizon Ablaze - 'Ink & Blood'

Have you filled your quota for violance today? Well let this band help you with their new video. This might be a bit too over the top but man theres something about the song that undeniably cool. That bass line is pretty rocking. Its nice to see a band who utilizes their bass player rather than just have him play the octave lower than the guitar. The band has a new album called 'Spawn' thats set to release the 24th.

Biomortal - 'Letter' New Video

I've not made up my mind on this band yet. I've watched the video several times now and I really like the video. The songs pretty good I guess. Its got a uniqueness too it that I'm having a bit of trouble wrapping my head around. I'm not sure what element of the music I find to not be up to snuff but something sticks out. Kill Hannah still exists?!

Here a new video from a band who I thought to be long gone. The songs called 'Promise Me' and it really suprisied me when I stumbled upon it. I guess if I really think about, out of all the bands from the early 2000's Kill Hannah's sound would probably still hold up. I dig the song too.

One of the most interesting metal bands I've heard.

The bands called Le Scrawl, the song 'Wintersun' and its one of the strangest song's I've heard in a while. Its got elements of progressive and technical metal, but then there are also black metal and death metal mixed in. Its an odd mix that surprisingly works really well. The bands newest album 'Snowblind' is out now.

Periphery - 'Jetpacks Was Yes' New Video

I love this band.  The vocals aren't the best I've heard but damn are these guys amazing musicians. This was one of my favorite albums of 2010 and for good reason. While the video is a bit sock, the song itself is still awesome. The only thing that bothers me at all is the fact that they changed the song for the video. Made it lighter. I guess that's cool for a single, but damn man this song is so much better with the heavy elements. You can check out the video below.

Disappears – “Superstition” New Video

I can't really support the art direction for this video since its primarily static. If I wanted to see that I'd just hook up a tube tv. I guess its chaotic a lot like the song, but I feel like its just a cheap way of making a video. I want to see some visuals. Watch the video below and their new album Guider, is out now.

Drugg - 'Shackled' New Song

This song, to me, sounds like Tears of Fears mixed with any dream pop outfit around today. Its a cool sound but quickly wears very thin. If you would like to know more about the band you can go to this artrocker article HERE.

Puteraeon - 'Coma' New Video

Sometimes is just nice to be able to rock out. This song isn't amazing musically, and I couldn't make out the lyrics if I tried, but damn if its not brutal as hell. The band has a new album entitled 'The Esoteric Order' due out at the end of the month.

And then there was that time Ariel Pink played Fallon...

and it was kind of weird. I guess not weird. I totally thought the singer was a chick for like 2 minutes of the song. I mean, can you blame me. I like the song, but their front man has almost no presence. While this doesn't break the band, even with those crazy get ups, they are still forgettable.

Best Coast - 'Sunny Adventure' New Song

Yeah I know. This is like my 10th Best Coast in a weeks time. Get over it people. This new song from the band off their yet untitled split record, is classic sounding Coast. Makes you feel like your in  a car ride to the beach man. Thats enough for me.

Emmure - 'Demons With Ryu'

Look, I understand why people hate on Emmure. I get why people call this metal for the masses. Its pretty clear to me that somewhere along the way Emmure got a following of haters and I have to say 'Screw that'. I like Emmure and I'm not ashamed to say it. This new song from the album 'Speaker of the Dead' out next month, is freakin hardcore and I like it. SO, go listen to what you like and I'll do the same!

MNDR - 'Cut Me Out' New Song

Not sure how I feel about this song. Its decent enough I guess. I'm not really into the intro part of it though. Almost turned it off. The reason I'm posting this is because the band starts a tour with Chromeo today, which is awesome.

She & Him - 'Don't Look Back' New Video

Actress Zooey Deschanel's band. The Video's got a retro feel to it that I like. The song itself is light and very easy to listen to. Gonna have to check out more from the band.

Awake Awake - Harbor Lights

I've done a few posts on Olan Rogers and some of his hilarious videos. He also has done a few music videos including Tokyo Police Club who will actually be playing here in Nashville soon. The Human Abstract - 'Patterns' New Song

This is the only metal album I'm looking forward to hearing this year and its because of songs like this! 'Digital Veil' is the name of the album and It would be hard for me to imagine a world in which it wasn't amazing. Just listen to this new song the band posted. Very accessible, but it still showcases the bands talent's. 'Digital Veil' will be released March 8th.

The Famine - 'The New Hell'

Another song by the metal band The Famine. This song is accompanied by a very interesting video that has depictions of slavery. I'm not sure if the band considers this official material or not but the song is brutal and awesome. You can check out the song below. The new album 'The Architects of Guilt' will be released February 15th.

The Submarines - 'Birds' New Song and Download

Here's the lead track from the new album by The Submarines called Love Notes/Letter Bombs which is out April 5th. The songs pretty catchy, and I'm excited to hear more from the band. Below you can hear the song 'Birds' and download it if you so choose.

Stream Destroyer's 'Kaputt'

You can bet your sweet ass I'll be reviewing this album from Destroyer. I got to tell you at first I wasn't sold on the idea, but damn its a good album. Best Coast - 'Crazy For You' New Video

Got to love Best Coast. They're bigger than I'm sure they know how to deal with right now. People love the music and love the band and I'm all for it. Its not the best sounding or the most original but they do it really well. Their self titled album was released last year.

Peter Bjorn and John - 'Breaker Breaker'

I've been listening to the new album by this band entitled Gimme Some, and I feel like its going to be on of the biggest of the year. Even though this bands only really seen a bit of success with the song 'Young Folks'. The video might be a bit to similar to the Vampire Weekend video for 'A-punk' The album comes out in March but you can watch the new video below.

Trent Dabbs - 'Follow Suit' New Video

Paste Magazine POSTED this new video and its bound to be my favorite of the day. The songs easy to listen to, it doesn't embrace any one style and its better for it. You can hear lots of different elements at work if you try. This new album Southerner, will be released February 22.

Keep Shelly in Athens - 'Hauntin’ Me' New Song

This is my song of the day. I love the sound. Its got this hip hop flare but with great atmospheric vocals and a haunting guitar part. Not much about the song I don't like. The band will release the Hauntin' Me 7" on the 21st. Lots of people releasing records. Must be a hipster thing.

Driver Drive Faster - They May Talk

This band kinda reminds me a little of Of Montreal... don't really know why.. it may be the vocals or something.. I like the song i'm just not a huge fan of the group vocals in this song. Everything else is pretty good. Enjoy.

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs - Garden

This is an alright song i guess. Pretty chill and pretty cool video. If you like electronica music im sure you'll enjoy this. Nuff said. Enjoy

Soft Kill – 'Borders Comfort' New Video

Does the world have enough bands that trying really hard to sound like Depeche Mode? I say that their are, but obviously Soft Kill disagrees with me. Look at their name and trying not to think of the 80's band Soft Cell... just sayin. The issue that I have with the song is that is boring. It never really changes up. The vocals are monotone and uninteresting. The video doesn't help their case. I understand that its art but what is art that you can't really see? If you're into this you can pick up their new album All Of The Above Below in March.

Black Cab Sessions - Band of Horses

I know there are a lot of Band of Horses fans out there. These guys really put on a great show. I'm kinda glad they played an older song in the video but that's just my personal preference. And if you still haven't checked out The Black Cab Sessions you are an idiot. Enjoy!

I dunno how i haven't seen this video before. This is probably my favorite song by Grizzly Bear and the only version i ever really listened to was a live performance and it is sweet. But here's the music video. It's kinda weird and there isn't a whole lot to it but whatever great song. Enjoy

Stigma - 'The Undertaker' New Video

Finally some metal that I can get behind. This band hails from Italy and they are down with horror concepts, but aren't a shock rock band. The music is heavily influenced by thrash music and there's not a breakdown in the entire thing! This song comes from the album Concerto For The Undead out now!

Seven Thorns - 'Liberty' New Video... and its horrible.

Is it just me or does video lack any passion at all. This all seems so fake and rehearsed. The lead singer looks like he's 80 years old and the glasses make him look like a tool. The chick's 'dancing' in the back ground are a joke as well. So much time and money wasted making this crap. The music doesn't fair much better. Dragon Force does this better and more convincingly. Seriously.. that girl dancing doesn't even look like shes having fun... she looks awkward as hell. and they keep cutting to her like 'SHE's HOT LOOK AT HER DANCE'. The video even starts with her 'dancing'.Sigh.

The Word Alive - '2012' New Video

No more Dancecore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get it? Fuck man, I feel like these bands are starting to out number Deathcore bands. This video comes off silly, which may have been the intent, but if it was the intent it was lost somewhere in the video. This band actually has promise and its sad to see it squandered on such a shallow meaningless musical style.

Crystal Castles - 'Not In Love' New Video

I was all listening and watching this video thinking 'damn that dood sounds like Robert Smith of The Cult' and it is. So I guess I wasn't far off. This videos kinda pointless but the songs pretty good. Nice to see that a veteran is giving some newb's some love.

*NSFW* D.R.U.G.S - 'If You Think This Song Is About You It Probably Is' New Video. *NSFW*

This video is long. way too freakin long if you ask me. Not to mention the lead singer is the former singer of Chiodos. I think I like it more than any of the Chiodos song previously released. Its still a glorified My Chemical Romance song.  Oh and there are boobs. Lots and Lots of boobs. So if you're offend by such a thing... you know the drill. The bands debut will from in February and is entitled, Abigail Will Be Born With Four Friendly Eyes.

The New Black - 'The King I Was' New Video

This song sounds like it belong as the theme for a WWE ppv. I guess if you enjoy Nickelback or Godsmack you could easily get behind this song. For me it sounds so stock it looses whatever depth the song had when recorded. I hate to say it but Fozzy does this music much better. The band will released their new album "II: Better In Black." (ugh) next month.

I'm not sure anything in this world is more gross to me than a chick with hairy pits. I know its a double standard, but its a personal preference. I know Palmer is an attractive lady and shes trying to be artsy and whatever but come on man. This video is ridiculous with a song basically talking about pubic hair its no wonder if got the NSFW seal.

Mister Heavenly - 2 new songs!

New music by a super group consisting of members of Modest Mouse and Islands and Unicorns? Yes please. This was the band who had Micheal Cera tour as their bassist not too long ago. Pretty decent stuff too. The player below has an option to download the song which is always nice. The band is currently working on their debut LP which should be released late this year.

Wavves - 'Mutant' New Song

This isn't the first song I've heard from Wavves and every time I hear a song from the band I question why I like it. The vocals are annoying, the music isn't that great but yet I still dig it. This song actually does some interesting stuff in the middle akin to Super Furry Animals. This is a B-side off of the album King of the Beach.

Panda Bear - 'Atiba Song' New Song/Video

I guess this this a two for one. The band Panda Bear released a new song that is included in a video of some guys skateboarding? Yeah its kinda lame I agree but the song is top notch and if you ignore the useless boarding noise's throughout the video you can here a pretty damn good song.

Twinspirits - 'Slave To This World' New Video

This starts off like poor mans Dream Theater and then turns into a joke all on its own. This guys voice doesn't match his body type or face and I understand that they're of Italian decent so maybe their English isn't great but you can tell its not their first language. The song does have its moments however about two minutes in it rocks pretty hard. So stick to the softer side Twinspirits. Their new album is called Legacy and it will be released in February.
