Kanye Is a Gay Fish - The Review.

I tried. I did what I could, practically killing myself but more importantly my ears. I can't review Kanye West's new album without just totally talking tons of shit about it. Its some of the worst music I've ever heard in my life. I prefer Kesha to this terrible shit. Why do people like rap??? The lyrics are terrible the beats are terrible. Everything is terrible. I got all the way to Rihanna and I just started skipping around. I understand that rappers rely on their peers to sell albums by doing songs that feature other artist, but why! Why would you ever want Rihanna do "sing" on a song. Terrible. Lets talk about something other than this pile of fecal matter. Lets talk about the reviews for the album. These make me sick.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is his most maniacally inspired music yet, coasting on heroic levels of dementia, pimping on top of Mount Olympus. - Rolling Stone Score, 100

Songs that might have felt self-indulgent or tossed-off in other contexts are now essential components of a soundly built structure--easily his most consistently compelling full-length since 2005's Late Registration. - Entertainment Weekly Score, 100

Fantasy's production is loud and proud, but also poignant and gripping, always hinting at some looming danger. - Spin Magazine, Score 90

I officially have lost all respect for magazines and entertainment publications all over the world. Some would argue that I am the one who doesn't know what he's talking about. Here's the issue with that. Rap is more of a vocal medium is it not? So the lyrical content of rap music should be its end all be all, correct?? I present to you a segment from the song "Runaway".
"She find pictures in my email
I sent this bitch a picture of dick
I don't know what it is with females
But I'm not too good at that shit
See, I could have me a good girl
And still be addicted to them hoodrats
And I just blame everything on you
At least you know that's what I'm good at"

You mean to tell me that these lyrics are close to perfect? How is that possible??? Please PLEASE someone help me understand this. Rapper's are a joke. The style of music is a joke. Don't agree? Don't think I'm being fair??? how about this from the song monster.

The best living or dead hands down huh?
less talk more head right now huh?
and my eyes more red than the devil is
and I'm bout to take it to another level bitch
there you go again, aint nobody as cold as this
do the rap and the track triple double no assist
but my only focus is staying on some bogus sh-t
argue with my older bitch acting like I owe her sh-t
I heard the people sayin raps are gettin trap mayne
bought the chain that always give me back pain
f-ckin up my money so yeh I had to act sane
Chi n-gga but these hoes love my accent
she came up to me and said this the number 2
if you wanna make it number one your number 2 now
this that goose an' malibu I call it Malibooya
God damn Yeezy How I hit em with the new style
know that muthaf-cker well, what you gon do now
whatever ever I wanna do, gosh its cool now
nah gonna do, uhh its a new now
think yo muthaf-cker really reall need to cool down
cause you will never get on top off this
so mommy best advice is to get on top of this
have you ever had sex with a pharoah
I put the p-ssy in a sarcophagus
now she claiming I bruise her esophagus
head of the class and she just want a swallowship
I'm living the future so the presence is my past
my presence is a present kiss my ass
I rest my case. Don't any EVER argue that rap is a art form or musical in away way to me EVER again. If the people who are experts on this trash think that these words are perfection.... I don't even have nice things to say anymore. I refuse to promote his material anymore. There won't be a video for this review. I'll leave you with words from the band Meshuggah, they sum up my feelings.

Beams of fire sweep through my head
Thrusts of pain increasingly engaged
Sensory receptors succumb
I am no one now only agony

Twin Sister - Color Your Life EP

Until today I had no idea this band existed. I don't know if any of their material other than "Color Your Life" is any good. I don't know if this album has been around for a while. I honestly don't know anything about the band. What I do know is that "Color Your Life" is excellent. I've listened to it 3 times in a row now and I'm stunned. I don't even know how to really describe what it is I'm listening to. The bands female fronted and her vocals resemble those of Feist or Regina Specters. They aren't amazing but they are consistent and blend in well with the music.
The music its self sounds like a hybrid of electronic and real instruments. Its very atmospheric at times. They linger on certain sounds which feels like they're building up but don't over do the blow up. It sounds like they are having fun. Like they made a priority to let the audience in on the fun of making the record. Each song leaves you wondering whats going to happen next and that's the mark of a good band. The only downside of it all is the fact that its an extended play album and not a full length. I was wanting more at the end. Hell I'm still listening to it now.
If your searching for something different. If you need a pick me up. If you want to see that there are female fronted bands that work well. If you enjoy good honest music. PICK THIS UP. You can listen to the album in its entirety with the player to the right and see the video below.

"Color Your Life" gets 5 Galaxy Plateaus out of 5

Lenny Kravitz - Let Love Rule Remixed by Justice

This has to be one of the best remixes I've ever heard. Not only does the remix rock by the video is hilarious. Basically what they did is they acted out the end of a movie and the song starts when the credits roll. We slowly find out that the credits are there following the protagonist with some interesting results.

Sweet animation.

This deserves to be watched in full screen. Not sure whats up with the naked anime chick but the video as a whole is a real treat!

Weezer - Death to False Metal

Does anyone else feel like Weezer is starting to get greedy? They've put out three sub par albums in the last two years. It feels like its less about making music that's quality at this point and more about raking it whatever cash they can for their music. That may not be the case at all, but listening to "Death to False Metal" makes me feel that way. It also clocks in at a little more than thirty minutes long. Which for 12 bucks is a rip off.

"Death to False Metal" is whats called a B-sides record. Its compiled of songs that didn't make the cut for the other albums. Now when you really start to think about that, it gets you worrisome. You have a collection of songs that weren't good enough to get on some of Weezer arguably worst albums. Well prepare for total crap right? Well not really. Not everything here is bad. One song on the album is good. Its called "Odd Couple" and it stands out as the only song that doesn't annoy me to death. Unfortunately the rest of the album is complete trash. One particular song really rubbed me in the wrong way and that song is "Everyone". This song is Weezer's sad attempt at making a harder sounding song. I'm sure its not being serious, and I can get behind that, but the song is so annoying that its physically painful to listen to. The lyrics are so bad to the song that I've decided to share them for you...

"Everyone"
Everyone, everyone, everyone, everyone, yeah
Everyone, everyone, everyone, everyone, yeah
Suck a thumb, suck a thumb, suck a thumb, suck that thumb, yeah

I want to take you somewhere
I really wanna take you
I want to take you somewhere
I really wanna

Everyone, everyone, everyone, everyone, yeah
Everyone, everyone, everyone, everyone, yeah
Kick a bum, kick a bum, kick a bum, kick that bum, yeah
Everyone, everyone, everyone, everyone, yeah
I can't see straight, I can't see straight.

Seriously, that song is almost three minutes long. The song is definitely the lowest point in the album but other songs like "Turning Up the Radio" and "I'm A Robot" don't help its grim situation. Weezer also uses auto tune in the song "Auto-Pilot" which I'm sure is trying to be witty but it just comes across as a cheap attempt to capitalize on a terrible fad in music.

I like Weezer. I like that a band like Weezer is popular, because at least I know kids aren't just listening to trashy pop music. This entry however is a mockery of their previous music. It also cements the fact that if a producer at a major label things the song sucks too much to be put with a bunch of mediocre songs, then leave it dead.

"Death to False Metal" gets 1 good song out of 5

"Turning Up the Radio" – 3:37
"I Don't Want Your Loving" – 3:03
"Blowin' My Stack" – 3:44
"Losing My Mind" – 4:02
"Everyone" – 2:49
"I'm a Robot" – 2:31
"Trampoline" – 2:45
"Odd Couple" – 3:07
"Auto-Pilot" – 2:57
"Un-Break My Heart" (Toni Braxton cover) – 4:11

Kesha - Cannibal

You want to know what drives me up the wall with pop music? Its not that it is relentlessly trying to stain the world was herpes or trying to redefine what is cool every 10 minutes. Its the total lack to respect for the listener. I mean, have you ever spent just two minutes looking at the lyrics to some of these songs?? I understand that what people actually compute from listening to a song can vary by very extreme degrees. The issue is ultimately this. When you call Kesha's music "music", it devalues all of the bands and artist out there who work hard to make beautiful and talented music. Kesha is the teen equivalent to the Insane Clown Posse lyrically. Here are some of the lyrics from "Cannibal"

From Sleazy:

I don't need you and your brand new Benz
Or your bourgie friends
And I don't need love looking like diamonds
Looking like diamonds

Get sleazy, get sleazy, get sleazy, get sleazy
Get sleazy, get sleazy, get sleazy, get sleazy
Imma get sleazy, get sleazy, get sleazy, get sleazy
Imma get sleazy, get sleazy, get sleazy, get sleazy

I don't need you and your brand new Benz
Or your bourgie friends
And I don't need love looking like diamonds
Looking like diamonds

I don't need you and your brand new Benz
Or your bourgie friends
And I don't need love looking like diamonds
Looking like diamonds

That represents the entire first minute of the song. Oh, and that "Get Sleazy" line plays during almost the entire song. Heres the second part to that song.

Rat-a-tat-tat on your dum-dum drum
The beat's so phat, gonna make me come
Um, um, um, um to your place!

Rat-a-tat-tat on your dum-dum drum
The beat's so phat, gonna make me come
Um, um, um, um to your place!

I don't mean to critique on your seduction technique
But your money's not impressing me, it's kinda weak
That you really think you're gonna get my rocks off
Get my top and socks off, by showing me the dollars in your drop box

Me and all my friends, we don't buy bottles, we bring 'em
We take the drinks from the tables when you get up and leave 'em
And I don't care if you stare and you call us scummy
Cause we ain't after your affection, and sure as hell not your money, honey

OK so basically what this song is trying hard to do is establish the fact that Kesha doesn't need a man's money. That she is independent and just want to have fun without relying on others. Why then does she have to say that the beat is, and i quote "So Phat, gonna make me come". That literally displaces all sense of maturity in your pathetic attempt to seem independent.

What is Kesha's obsession with glitter? I'm apparently missing something about the importance of this craft supply because she makes reference to it at least 20 times. It wouldn't be so bad if it just made me think that she was 14 years old. Then we get to the song "The Harold Song", and as far as an actual song its not as terrible to the years, well to a point. We then get this lyric that again makes me question the age of this person,

I miss your soft lips. I miss your white sheets.
I miss the scratch of your unshaved face on my cheek.
And this is so hard cause I didn't see
that you were the love of my life and it kills me.
I see your face in strangers on the street.
I still say your name when I'm talking in my sleep.
And in the limelight, I play it off fine.
But I can't handle it when I turn off my night light.

Your night light???? Seriously. Ok to be fair, maybe girls like to keep some sort of light on when they are sad about man problems. Maybe she's using night light as an actual light that she uses when it is in fact nighttime. Anyway you look at it, its a stupid line.

OK I'm gonna wrap this up by talking about Kesha's new album in general. The issue with Kesha is the fact that she doesn't seem to have actual talent doing anything. She doesn't sing well and most of the time she's not singing at all. Its more of a bratty spoken word rant thingy. I know she doesn't come up with her "MUSIC" because there are producers that do that for her. Her lyrics are a joke. When I said earlier that she is the Insane Clown Posse of teen girls I meant it. Her lyrics are used for shock value most of the time. Problem is its less shocking and more "this girl needs to be grounded". She has a song called "See U Next Tuesday" Which unless you've been under a rock means "cunt". That's what really sum's Kesha up for me in one word.

If you enjoy listening to music that makes you seem like the worst kind of trash, then Kesha is for you. If you value your ears than do yourself and the world a giant favor and stay away.

Sappy Song of the Week

Phoenix - "Love For Granted"

These days are gone
Loud enough to hold on
I think about the time we wasted
I think about the years to come
It's getting late and I can't call
It's getting late to face it all
I think about the time we wasted
My loneliness has slowly grown
I told you not to cross the line
& leave me with your love for granted
The letters from your broken heart
I think I might have lost them somewhere

Don't tell me 'bout your lies
Don't tell me 'bout your secrets

My love is easy
You are everything I need
Now your love is gone
I want it safe & guaranteed
Life is such a fine line
Looking at the bright line
I think about the time we wasted
For someday I'll be coming too
Tonight is dying on its own
& now I got your love for granted
It doesn't matter right or wrong
As long as you are hiding somewhere

Don't tell me 'bout your lies
Don't tell me 'bout your secrets

Even though we've said it all
I would never let us fall with you
Hang on to a little chance, you bet I'm in
If it is for better
I would never miss the call, it's true
Hang on to a little chance, you bet I'm in

Sufjan Stevens Plays Fallon

Ummmmmmmmmm ok. I guess I can't say anything about the fact that it looks like hes an Indian and how thats racist. Or how ridiculous it looks to dress like you thought it would be cool to cover yourself in glowing crayons. Or how repetitive the song is. Even the reaction from the crowd was one of "WTF". This may beat Arcade Fires frost live performance of the week.

Here are some videos that I like.

This first one is by Daniel Kamas and it has a folk feel to it.

This one is by Robotanists and is female fronted this one is mellow as well.

The last one is from Broken Social Scene.

The Decemberists played Conan

It sounded pretty good.

Here are some guys playing the Tetris theme on the guitar.

The song goes on a little long, but for some reason I couldn't take my eyes away. Tetris can hypnotize anyone!!!

Can you say OVERRATED!!!

I can't say I've been the biggest Arcade fire fan. I enjoyed previous efforts by the band. I knew they have a giant following of people who love their music. It wasn't until I saw the live performances that the band did on SNL that I questioned why people love the band so much. If you want check it out for yourselves. I mean the Hitler youth haircuts and terrible vocals made me want to run. Well heres a professionally done video by a guy I've never heard about named Spike Jonze.

Wow... just wow.

This is terribly funny. Its got an innocence to it. I mean obviously this person isn't really versed in the English language. Songs not bad I guess, I just couldn't stop laughing. Also, its pretty obvious to me that the person singing is a girl at least I hope so because those people were getting really close to each others faces. You can go HERE to download and read about the song if you must.

My Chemical Romance - Danger Days The True Lives of Fabulous Killjoys

That's officially the worst album title ever and this is coming from a metal fan. Seriously, it took me 3 minutes just to type that fucking title. I got bored doing it and almost quit this review. I'm on my third play through of this album and I'm seriously thinking about ending it all. Well I guess you can guess where this is going.

This is the fourth album by emo punks staple My Chemical Romance and I swear you can't tell. If this band has matured at all I don't hear it. This might be one of the most mindless poorly put together drivel of a album I've ever heard. Its lazy sounding. Like when they were recording it they thought to themselves "Those teenage bitches will buy this no matter what". You know what, they are right and that pisses me off. This album is shit. Its worse than shit. Its the worst piece of shit I've had to listen to. I made fun of Sufjan's new album for being hard to listen to. This shit is impossible. OK now for some constructiveness. I'm not sure if My Chemical Romance know what style of music they want to do anymore. The vocal work is undoubtedly emo, but the music is all over the place. Some songs are pop punk others drift into rock others don't really congeal into anything. Again I go to the word lazy. This record is a cop out. It just sounds lazy. I wish I could help you understand what I mean. Instead let me point this out there is a song called "na na na (na na na na na na)" I shit you not. That's the liner name of the song. There is also a terrible intro track to the album that has some fake DJ or someone introducing who the band is. I chose to listen to this shit and your gonna tell me at the beginning who it is. They are preparing for stupid people to listen to their music. Obviously that is their target audience. So I'll leave you with this. If you listen to this album you are stupid. PERIOD

Danger Days and blah blah blah gets a 1 out of 5

1. "Look Alive, Sunshine"
2. "Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)"
3. "Bulletproof Heart"
4. "SING"
5. "Planetary (GO!)"
6. "The Only Hope For Me is You"
7. "Jet-Star and the Kobra Kid/Traffic Report"
8. "Party Poison"
9. "Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back"
10. "S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W"
11. "Summertime"
12. "DESTROYA"
13. "The Kids From Yesterday"
14. "Goodnite, Dr. Death"
15. "Vampire Money"

Seriously, listen to this terrible shit. How many times did I say shit. Oh well. Its your fault, yeah you!!!

N.E.R.D. - Nothing

I have to admit. I'm a closet fan of NERD. I saw them live once and ever since then I've been a fan. Well of their first two albums that is. I loved how they toured with a rock band that played their music while they sang/rapped. It was unique or it felt that way. Pharrell has an amazing voice and it worked so well with those first two albums. I don't think everyone understood what NERD was trying to do though. So they made "Seeing Sounds" which is one of my least favorite albums of all time. Does this continue that trend of growing apart from the rock sound or does it redeem one of the few R&B acts I actually like?

One of my biggest issues with the last NERD release was the lack of the NERD sound that was imprinted in my mind with two albums. Nothing teases the old sound, but never really embraces it. Although I think this time its for the best. I think this is the album they meant to make instead of the last. Its not the rock album that I was hoping for, but it feels organic enough to get by. Something that I noticed very quickly was the fact that some of these songs are very repetitive. I know thats a staple of this style of music, but it borders on annoying at times. The first song in particular will grate on your nerves. Then there are songs like "Help Me" that sound unique and have great vocal work. I have a hard time when listening to the album not thinking of Gorillaz. Some of these songs could fit very well on "Plastic Beach", "God Bless Us All" in particular. Of course there is the song featuring Nelly Furtado called "Hot and Fun" which suffers from repetitiveness as well but I'll forgive this one because Furtado is hot. All in all the album doesn't really stand out to me. It doesn't command my attention. It feels like a cheap dance album and not the fun albums of NERD's past.

I give "Nothing" 2.5 nothings out of 5

1. “Party People” feat. T.I.
2. “Hypnotize U”
3. “Help Me”
4. “Victory”
5. “Perfect Defect”

7. “God Bless Us All”
8. “Life as a Fish”
9. “Nothing on You”
10. “Hot-N-Fun” feat. Nelly Furtado

Deluxe Edition
11. “It’s in the Air”
12. “Sacred Temple”

Heavy Metal Power House! Fear Factory's "Obsolete"

When I think of Fear Factory I think of the utmost in excellence. Its hard not to. To date FF have arguably only released one sub par record. One... out of 8. I'm not sure any other band can say that they are batting with such a great percentage. So what sets FF apart from other bands? Well I'm going to dive into that a bit in this first edition of HEAVY METAL POWER HOUSE!!!! Cheesy I know.

Released in 1998, "Obsolete" is one of the strongest albums I've ever heard. Its relentless, heavy, chaotic, melodic, and beautiful all at the same time. Songs like "Shock" and "Edgecrusher" start the record out swinging. They are also some of the catchiest metal songs ever written. These songs immediately introduce you to the double bass drumming and matching guitar that FF have coined as their sound. What does that mean?? Well Thing about a guitar riff like this "Dun Dun Dun Dun" well the bass drum plays that exact same sequence which makes for some interesting moments on the record and an undeniably heavy sound. All of the sudden you run into a track like "Decent" or "Resurrection" that have very melodic parts, "Resurrection" having a beautiful ambient sound. These songs show the depth of FF song writing. Its not all about the heavy and they do the non heavy justice. Another key element in FF sound are the samples. They give FF a futuristic sound. These samples would be used more in the follow up to "Obsolete", "Digimortal". All of these elements bring the sound together and make for an unforgettable listening experience. One of my favorite parts of the album is the bass line in the song "Edgecrusher" which is done entirely with a Stand Up Bass. It gives the song a unique sound and more depth. So what is the album about? Well its about Machines taking over humanity. They believe that we are too reliant on machines and the record is telling a story about that. The album was released later on as a special edition digipack which featured new tracks and a cover of the Gary Numan song "Cars" as well as some other tracks. The record remains their most popular to date.

"Obsolete" is one of the greats in the ever expanding world of metal. Its cemented Fear Factory's sound that they still use today, plus it inspired many other groups who borrow elements from FF's iconic album. Bands like Threat Signal and Divine Heresy are almost homages to the band and the "Obsolete" album. If your a fan of metal than this sound be near the top of your all time list.

FEAR FACTORY - Resurrection
Uploaded by NahikDM. - Watch more music videos, in HD!

You know, Maybe Nu Metal wasn't all bad.

I was listening to some of the albums that I listened to in high school earlier today and I was thinking that these albums aren't nearly as bad as a lot of websites and publications make them out to be. Yes the Nu Metal genre was nailed into the ground with tons and tons of bands that seemed to come from no where. It seems that Nu Metal gets a bad rap because of the bands that were super popular at the genre's forefront. Bands like Korn and Limp Bizkit's seemed to spawn direct imitators. While bands like Linkin Park have managed to stay what some people consider to be fresh. I want to make it very clear that I don't condone the Nu Metal genre as a reputable style of music in this day in age. The hard rock and metal we have now is far better than anything these bands could have ever hoped for. I will argue that there are bands who put out material during this time in metal history that aren't throw away, like all of the clones. Here are a few...

American Head Charge
This wasn't my favorite Nu Metal band but they did put out one of my favorite albums to this day. "The Art of War" In my opinion is timeless. Little fact for you it was produced by Rick fucking Rubin. Who is that? you ask. Go look it up. I never did get the chance to see AHC unfortunately. I was one of the unfortunate souls to go to the show where their guitarist died on the tour bus and they canceled the concert . It was a very odd and somber moment. Eventually the other bands did come back but I will never forget how shocked I was about what had happened. I digress. AHC isn't really a rapping band. They are more Nu Metal from the sound of the music. It was very straight forward. Not much creativity. Just crushing riffs and talky and screaming vocals. This is the video for "All Wrapped Up" which was banded from MTV for being to graphic. They used real pig heads and pigs blood for these scene's. Its one of the most metal videos I've ever seen.

Primer 55
This band was my favorite Nu Metal band and for good reason. These guys made some awesome music. The first and the only truly Nu Metal album they released was called "Introduction to Mayhem" and I've gone through several copies. I even purchased a signed copy from the band. This album was about as Nu Metal as they come, Rapping vocals to metal/hardcore music and it was great. It was perfect for my rebellious teen years and my favorite song from the album was "The Big Fuck You". Only issue I have with it now is they lyrical content is terrible. Back in the day I didn't mind cursing in my music, in fact I thought it was cool. I've grown out of that now and that makes it harder to listen to the album. I'll always remember it fondly though. The second album by P55 was called "The New Release" and I still listen to it every week. I was shocked when I purchased it back in the day because of the lack of cursing. Its not as rappy as the previous album which is great and the songs are catch and memorable. Recently Primer 55 has reunited and there is talk of a new album. I would love a follow up to "The New Release", so I hope it works out for them! This video was there only professionally produced video. Its also edited for you pansy's who can't take a "Fuck" or two.

Reveille
Reveille will be the last band that I will be talking about for my Nu Metal look back. Reveille is arguably the heaviest of all the bands on my list.A different heavy from AHC. Reveille was more angsty.  The Emo Nu Metal if you will. They also had some of my favorite vocal work from the entire genre. The great thing about the band was the live show. These guys put on a killer show. I saw them in a shit whole and they freakin rocked the place. I remember there was at least 500 people at this show and they were going nuts.  Reveille's first album was called "Laced" I believe. I wasn't a big fan of the album. Their second was called "Bleed The Sky" and believe it or not it holds up even today. The song "Catarax" is freakin heavy. Also the song "Plastic" is total baby punching material. The band didn't last long after "Bleed the Sky" breaking up before Nu Metal was really done. Which is really disappointing because they had the potential to really make something great. I decided that I would go for quality over something to watch for Reveille. This is "Plastic"

Its been fun looking back on these bands. Yeah the style doesn't really hold up today. Plus I really do hate rapping. Its always just fun to look back at my younger years and see how far I've come in my musical maturity.

There is one thing I would like to dive into before I sign off. Slipknot is not Nu Metal. Slipknot is Metal period. A lot of people describe them as Nu and I just don't see it. I guess we are all entitled to our opinions right?

Thanks for reading.

Benevolent - Divided and This City Ignites - EP

Gruff Rhys - Shark Ridden Waters

If you know anything about me you know that I love Super Furry Animals. I posted about a week ago the new song from the lead singer of SFA Gruff Rhys, well this is the second song off of his new solo album. So far I'm happy with the way both songs have turned out. Rhys really knows what sound compliments his voice.

The Smiles - Hermosa EP - update

If you follow this link you can get this EP for free or donate any amount. After further listening of this album, I have decided that it is pretty damn good. If you don't grab yourself a copy your out of your mind. Its got a beach music sound  that would be great for summertime cruising or wintertime.... wishing you were at the beach time. This is seriously accessible music. I challenge people of all ages to try it out. Its free man, FREE!!! How can you beat that? I know how YOU CAN'T!

Vampire Weekend - Give Up the Gun

I'm not sure how I missed this, but Vampire Weekend have a newish video. Enjoy.

Site name change and some other stuff.

I have decided to continue on this "blog". I'd rather not call it that since I don't really want to blog. I really just want to inform people of the many awesome bands I come across and the cool video's or pictures that I find on the interwebs. I may on occasion do a bit where I rant but that will be rare as I am not the best writer. I'm going to continue to do music reviews and I want help. If you would like me to listen to an album and give my take I would be more than happy to do so. I can't promise it will be kind and I can't promise that I will purchase the album to do it.

Also the name of the blog from this point on will be.... drum roll please.... "Intelligence Has Been Compromised". I chose this name for a couple reasons. First I am a horrible writer and I know that I am. I don't use proper punctuation or grammar and even though I clearly have a spell checker I don't always use it. If that is bothersome to you I apologize. Also I consider everyone in the world who listens to lesser music than myself to be stupid. Its a fact. Also it just sounds cool to me.

Thanks for supporting my site those who have been doing so. If I can do anything to make your stay a more enjoyable experience let me know. If you have opinions on how I do things let me know. If you want me to stop and give up, TOO BAD!!!

And Now Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" metal version

New Viral Video Film School - Stunt Cats

Empires - Bang

This Town Needs Guns - Animals

Listener - Wooden Heart

Listener is an odd band. Its does have the typical lyrical format. Or even a singer at all. Its all done in an odd spoken word style. Dan Smith does the vocals and if you've been following what I post at all you would recognize his voice from the most recent video from The Chariot that I posted not too long ago. I've been listening to the album for a while now and I thought maybe the vocals would get old after a while but it works so well with the music. Have a listen for yourself.

Cerebellion - Inalienable

Not sure what it is about this band that I dig. I guess for me its a throw back type sound to the days when I started to listen to heavy music. I definitely get a Nonpoint, Dry Kill Logic feel. Check it out.

Cowboys and Aliens Trailer

The teaser for the new movie staring Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford. Directed by "Iron Man" director Jon Favreau. I had my doubts and the premise still seems kinda weird to me but it looks to be shaping up nicely.

Green Lantern Trailer

Holy Grail

"My Last Attack"

All Hail DIO!

Here's footage from the upcoming live Heaven and Hell DVD. Heaven and Hell is basically sabbath with Dio as the lead. Unfortunately Ronnie James Dio died this year of cancer. So this DVD will quite possibly be the last professionally shot stuff to come out of Dio preforming. This man is a God of metal. His pipes rival any singer of any day. I dare you to disagree.

Suicidal Angel - Bleeding Holocaust

I might not be a super fan of the lyrical content of this song. But the shredding is pretty damn good. So deal with it and don't be a douche. The song is short and sweet but the rift is just... man its pretty sweet. Suicidal Angel will release Dead Again on Nov. 19th.

British Sea Power new song.

British Sea Power has a new album coming out in January called Valhalla Dancehall so they are sharing the first single as a free download. I thought I would offer it to whoever was interested.

Beady Eye - "Bring the light" video

If you recognize this singers voice its because he is Liam Gallagher of Oasis fame. This song doesn't really do it for me. They even kinda look bored in the video. I mean if your gonna make a music video look like its fun!!! Its nice seeing one of the members of Oasis doing something worth while with his time. For all the crap they've talked in the past, they sure don't put out much content. Enjoy "Bring the light".

NME - Beady Eye, 'Bring The Light'

The Human Abstract

Heres the new track off the new album by "The Human Abstract" due out in 2011. If your a fan of metal you should listen to it. Theres a very real chance this link will be broken in a couple hours. I apologize if thats the case. I'll activity try and keep a working link up.

Underoath - Disambiguation

I've never been a fan of Underoath. Nothing against their music it just isn't really my style. Its like, if it plays on random I won't skip it but I wouldn't choose it myself, type things. So does the new album stick to the format, or does it move on to main event territory.

Underoath are a hardcore and who have metal influence. Which most call metalcore but I won't but them in the genre. The problem with there style is its beginning to sound dated. I could probably play 14 bands over them and you wouldn't be able to pick one or the other as a certain band unless you were a die hard fan. Disambiguation does a better job of updating that sound and it sticks out from the rest of their discography. It still doesn't really move them forward in that great leap that they so desperately need. I had the feeling while listening to the record that "Its gonna get better next song" and that feeling never went away. Its not that the content is bad. Songs like "Illuminator" and "Who Guard the Guardians" really stand out as the best on the album and some of the best songs I've heard from this artist and similar ones as well. The album just struggles to "wow" the listener. You get to the end feeling like this is "Old Hat". Which is a shame because this album had a lot of potential.

Maybe if they took a little more time this album could have been a home run, but it ultimately falls short. I give "Disambiguation" 3 ambiguations out of 5

01. In Division
02. Catch Myself Catching Myself
03. Paper Lung
04. Illuminator
05. Driftwood
06. A Divine Eradication
07. Who Will Guard The Guardians
08. Reversal
09. Vacant Mouth
10. My Deteriorating Incline
11. In Completion

Chinese build 15 story hotel in 6 effin days!

Heres time laps footage of the amazing feat. From what I understand the building is pretty safe and all. Its just amazing to see. They all look like ants.

Thanks Lady Ga Ga

This is what we get in the Kesha and Lady GaGa era of "music". This girl does a terrible job looking sexy at all. Not sure if its the ridiculous thing she's wearing or the fact that she actually sings "Like a shot gun needs an outcome, I'm a prostitute, you gonna get some." I shit you not those are the lyrics. I mean at least shes being honest.

Without further adieu here is Lykke Li’s "Get Some"

Lykke Li - Get Some (Director: Johan Söderberg) from Lykke Li on Vimeo.

New Micheal Jackson song.

So there is some controversy over whether or not this is actually zombie Jackson. I'm sure there are people out there who can do his voice flawlessly so I guess the jury is still out. All in all the song isn't terrible. I mean I hate auto tune but it could be worse. This song does remind me of all the Micheal Jackson jokes my friend Steve tells. I think its the whole part about "Holding my hand". I guess at least it doesn't say "tiny hand"
