Dom - "Bowl Cut" [feat. Cults]

I honestly don't have anything to say about this song. I just wanted to share it with the three of you who visit IHBC. Its nothing special, just a song. I hope you enjoy it.

Vanna - "Trashmouth"

This video is awesome. Great song that makes you wish you were riding on a Harley... my favorite part is at 1:40... anyways check it out. Enjoy.

I normally don't like to post poor footage of a band but...

if its Heavy Devy I'll always post it. He played NAMM recently. Someone was kind enough to make some bootlegs of the show and since he did an acousticish set the sound quality wasn't that bad. Below you can see the performances of the song 'Fly' and 'Coast'. Seriously, this band can do no wrong. He plays the heaviest of the heavy but still can play some great soothing music. If you're thinking that I'm kissing his ass... I would... I would kiss his ass. Ok maybe not.

Free Iphone Apps

If you are an Iphone nerd like me you like to get apps for free...and good apps... well look no further than FreeAppReport. Now I will say a few things... it's mainly just free games... and they aren't always good but they are really good at updating the apps everyday. Basically they find out which apps are normally apps that you would have to pay for and are running a special for one day for free. If you were to download all the apps they have shown on the site you would have saved like $1700.00.. which is a lot considering most apps are only .99.. Anyways hopefully you can find some good stuff on here. Enjoy.

Little Dragon - 'My Step' New Video

You may remember Little Dragon from a Gorillaz song that they were guests on, on the album 'plastic beach' Here's some of their original material. The video is awesome. Nothing says good video like crude puppets made from bits of cloth and paper. The songs pretty good as well. Yukimi Nagano has a very unique voice and I think that might turn people off to the music, but shouldn't. Its suited for these songs and works very well in this song. Little Dragon has a new album coming called 'Ritual Union' that will be released later this year.

video: James Blake - 'The Wilhelm Scream' Live at Maida Vale

Micheal McDonald? Those were my exact thoughts and I know the Icon that is McDonald sounds much different than James Blake, but come on its hard not to think that. its weird how simplistic this music seems to be able to play but yet I'm sure it takes a lot of skill to be able to master. It does kinda bother me that the same 2 lines are repeated throughout the song. I guess thats the product of the genre.

Holy Ghost! - 'Do it Again' New Song

I really like this song. It reminds me of what I feel like Gorillaz should sound like today. Its funky but still grounded. I like the beat and the sounds that make up the underlying sound. Even the vocals aren't too bad for the genre and work very well with the song. Holy Ghost! are releasing their debut album in April. Lets hope of an album that shares the sound and direction of this song!

Holy Crap! Sum 41 still exists! "Screaming Bloody Murder" New Song

Altpress posted this new song by the pop punk band earlier today. Its a very rough cut and I apologize for that. My question is do you get too old to do pop punk? I mean pure punk has no age limit only the limit of your body,  but pop punk... that has to have a age limit. Even Green Day kinda strayed away from the pop punk in recent years. Either way the song isn't terrible. Kudos to those guys for still existing!

Sum 41 - Screaming Bloody Murder (webrip) by thatcommonkid

You've had your Deathcore, Now enjoy some crabcore THE BROWNING - 'Time Will Tell'

One of the biggest joke's of a band is the band Attack Attack. I'd never even heard the band until last year and when I listened to their latest album I didn't hate it.... Not until I read more on the band. This band seems to be influenced by Attack Attack and thats not a good thing. When you base your music off the shitty music that another shitty band makes, its time to stop making music. To be fair, I'm sure The Browing are good musicians and awesome people. Right now though their music sucks. The name of the band reminds me of shit. I mean The Browning?! Are you serious?

Start your day with some horrible Deathcore. Chelsea Grin 'Recreant’

Its not even funny to me anymore. I used to laugh at big squeals because they were at least entertaining. Thats was like 4 years ago though. This band Chelsea Grin might be really good. Its hard to tell because of the stock Deathcore they perform. Time to make a change guys! Even the video is stock Deathcore crap. Enjoy? Chelsea Grin released their newest album last year.

and then there was that time The Damned Things played Kimmel...

and it sounded a lot like this. The Damned Things debut came out last month and was a total disappointment for myself. I didn't even bother to review it because of how mediocre it was. Thankfully Every Time I Die is working on new material to be released this year.

Metric - 'Expecting To Fly' New Video

This is an awesome video. I'm not sure why, I guess its just the way that it doesn't at all tell a story or isn't related to the song and for some reason I find that awesome. I know there are a lot of Metric fan's out there and I can safely say that I'm not one of them, but this video is awesome and I can't deny it.

And then there was that time The Low Anthem played Letterman...

and it sounded a lot like this. The band will release their new album 'Smart Flesh' in February. This bands look doesn't really go with their sound. Its actually quite shocking that the kid singing has that voice. This also might be the first time I've ever seen an oboe played on television.

Mr. Dream – “Crime” New Song

This is a pop punk band, but not in the same way as the popular bands like My Chemical Romance. This is a more traditional punk sound. The pop layer isn't the focal point and I think that's where pop punk went wrong. This also sounds more raw than the over produced schlock that is released these days. The band will release their new album 'Trash Hit' will be released in March.

Darkest Hour - 'Savor the Kill' New Song

Noisecreep debuted the new song by Darkest Hour and I have to say its quite impressive. Its what I thought the last album 'Deliver Us' would sound like. The band has been recording the follow up to that album called 'The Human Romance' which will be our in February. Check out the song below and don't forget to visit Noisecreep.

British Sea Power - 'Valhalla Dancehall' Album review.

The newest release from British Sea Power will be ignored by most, which is a shame. This band is very popular in the UK and they share elements of Coldplay, Doves, and Elbow but people still haven't heard of this sound giant. Which comes down to a couple reasons. This band isn't as marketable as other bands in the same genre. They play good music but their lyrics aren't as shitty has Coldplays or as strange as Doves. The music is all very powerful and deep and listeners don't want deep, they want shallow (see Coldplays X&Y). Has the new release continued this trend of great music or does it fall short?

'Valhalla Dancehall' is a odd album to review. The album has very contrasting songs, not so much in the way of genre's but more in the way of tone. The albums all over the map and I think that will be the first thing that people don't understand. I feel that this element was handled very well. You're never shocked by a song when it starts. They blend well for having such a different feel.

One of the great things about British Sea Power is how catchy their music is. It doesn't take much to start humming the songs to yourself. Songs Like 'Living is so easy' and 'Luna' are so infectious I found myself actively trying to learn the lyrics so I could sing along and in my head. That's rare for me and shows the strength of the song writing. The music is handled wonderfully. Songs never overstay their welcome and the album has a full 13 tracks which in itself is pretty impressive. The vocals are also handled very well. They might take a bit of getting used to, they aren't as soothing as Chris Martins but I think they are more unique and suited for this style of music.

If I had anything negative to say about the album it would be the use of the word "fuck". I'm not shy about cursing, nor does it bother me and while the use of the word in some of the songs is used well. It still stands out and is unneeded. Using curse words in music seems lazy to me. I have no interest in cursing when it is used for shock value..

'Valhalla Dancehall' is a fun album. Its a shame that it will most likely be overlooked by the masses. I encourage you to listen to the album in its entirety to get the effect of the band and to see their vision. Sometimes music isn't skin deep but has more to offer if the listener is willing to do so. If you're interested in listening to the album you can do so HERE.

'Valhalla Dancehall' gets a 4 three legged horses out of 5

Six Reasons To Kill - "My Bitterness" New Video

This a deathcore band with an identity crisis. The music is heavily metalcore influenced but the vocals aren't. Its a decent mash up but I'm starting to hate deathcore vocals so much that even when I hear a decent song I can't help but not really like it. Of course there's a break down that's sub par at best. The band will release their new album 'Architects Of Perfection' at the end of the month.

Farewell To Freeway - "Liquor? I Don't Even Know 'Er" New Video

A while ago I posted the stream of this song and now here is the new video. I've got a couple of things to say about the song and the band. First of all, the band looks like a bunch of guys who really enjoy what they are doing. They don't look like punk teenagers trying to make a buck off shit music.Secondly, the song is pretty good. I'm gonna check out their new album 'Filthy Habits' which will be released this coming Tuesday and I think that you should as well. Check out more on the band HERE.

And then there was the time A Day to Remember played Kimmel...

and it sounded a lot like this. Shit. A Day to Remember is one of the worst things to happen to hard music. This performance is a testament to that. You hear that guy try and scream ONE LINE. It sounded terrible. I know the sound on those night time shows can be murder or hard bands but the performance can at least look like it was fun.

This is how you preform for a TV audience.

Rainbow Arabia - 'Without You'

Here is a song from the bands forth coming album 'Boys and Diamonds' due out March 1st. I say this a lot on this site but these songs are very 80's in nature. I'm sure it would be difficult for people to disagree with that statement. Check out 'Without You' below!

Can one man make a Toaster by himself in this day in age?

This is pretty funny concept but its also very scary. I don't mean in the 'end of the world' type scary but how much do we rely on things to get us by during the day? This video basically shows you how much goes into the 'simplest' of appliances. Its 10 minutes long but its worth it.

And then there was that time Cage the Elephant played Letterman...

and it sounded a lot like this! I promise this is my last 'Cage' post I'll do for the week. I can't help it when one band has lots going on.

Coldspell - "Heroes" New Video

I couldn't help myself with this song. It makes me want to slay a dragon! Its big, cheesy and it ROCKS! Coldspell will release their new album 'Out From the Cold' in February! BANG YOUR HEADS!

Shilpa Ray & Her Happy Hookers make's her video look like a 'Nightmare on Elm st' movie.

This video was released to promote the bands new album 'Teenage and Torture'. As far as videos go I dig this one. There's nothing like watching a good 80's horror movie! I'm impressed that they were able to make it look so authentic. I'm sure they used a lot of stock footage but its pretty impressive nonetheless.

VersaEmerge - 'Your Own Love' Liveish Video

Something about this song makes me want me to hang myself. I'm not sure if its that Altpress say's that this video is 'live' or its the Hailey Williams sound alike. I guess the song isn't that bad. Its got some cool guy/girl thing going on in the vocal department. Granted its hard to tell when the girl ends and the guy begins.

Cage the Elephant - 'Shake Me Down' New Video

A couple of days ago I reviewed the new album 'Thank you, Happy Birthday' and I gave it high marks for its awesomeness. Well it seems that MTV premiered the new video today and that kinda makes me mad. I wish I could have included it in the actual review. Enjoy the video below. Sorry for the stupid ad, that's because I'm using MTV's player and apparently they've not made enough money off Jersey Shore.

Twin Atlantic - 'Edit Me' New Video

Got to love stuff that's shot in reverse! This is a more traditional rock sounding song. The vocals may take some getting used to but this material kinda reminds me of what I felt that bands like Filter were going for. The band will release a new album later this year. You can visit the bands Myspace page for more info.

Lower Than Atlantis - 'Beech Like The Tree’

Not normally being into Pop punk, I wasn't sure what to make out of this new song by Lower Than Atlantis. After listening to it a couple times (see the short length) I've decided that the song is pretty good. The only thing that really bothers me about the video is they didn't sell me on the fact that they are 'playing' their instruments. The band will release a new album called 'World Record' later this year.

Believe - 'Cut Me Paste Me' New Video

Talk about about a band missing their mark. Believe sound like they came straight out of the late 90's. The songs now bad, it just comes off as cheesy and I'm not sure the video helps. Believe released the album 'World is Round'. The video has a cameo of Iza Meldo who is a 'model/actress'.

J. Irvin Dally - "Sun Room" New Song

Sometimes its just nice to have an acoustic song midway through your day. This song might be perfect if thats what you need. If you want to hear more by Daily you can visit his Myspace page. If your interested in past works visit his Bandcamp page

Lifeguard Mario - Dorkly Bits

I'm glad Dorkly is releasing their original series with such regularity, but these past two don't really hold up well compared to the others. I highly recommend checking them out.

mychildren mybride - 'King Of The Hopeless'

Never liked this band and based on this video I still don't. I understand what their doing for but its just so boring. Darkest Hour, Revocation and a ton of other bands do the same style but with flare. This is just flat and uninteresting. The band recently released their second record for solid state entitled 'Lost Boy'.

Boy Friend Free EP

The band Boy Friend posted a new EP for free via their bandcamp page. If you enjoy what you hear you can follow the link on the player to download the entire EP free of charge. Boy friend features members of the band Sleep Over. This albums worth a listen, its only 4 songs and they aren't very long.

Ducktails - 'Killin the Vibe' (feat. Panda Bear)

What an awesome name for a band! Songs not too bad either. Apparently Ducktails is comprised of one member who does dream pop music and the person singing in this song is from the band Panda Bear. I wish I could find songs like this more often!

And then there was that time Okkervil River played Fallon....

and it sounded a lot like this!

New Songs by Sodom

Below you can stream the two newest songs by the metal band Sodom. Both songs appear on the bands new release 'War and Pieces'. Decibel Magazine is doing a contest in part with Sodom and you can get the details right HERE.

“The Art of Killing Poetry”

“Styptic Parasite”

And then there was that time No Age played Letterman...

and it sounded a lot like this.

Song Of The Day!!

This is the song of the day! or should I say OF THE YEAR SO FAR! hahahaha this song is just GOOD. Enjoy! ps the ladies love Little River Band....

Bosco Delrey – “Space Junky” Video

More information and more music from this artist can be found at this article. The songs fun, the doesn't really match with the song. Follow the link to check out the song 'Round and Round', that ones pretty crazy.

Beady Eye - 'The Roller' New Video

I posted this song yesterday, now heres the video for it. Enjoy.

Mad Planet - 'I Want You' New Song

Filter did a great article on this band who has yet to be signed. Follow the link to ready about the band and check out the song below. Support the bands that make good music but haven't been signed! Also support bands who sport the afro! The band is released the album 'All Elephants' last year.

I Want You by madplanetband

I'm an asshole because I just thought about this.

I love music, its a major part of my life. If I had the choice to go deaf or blind, I got blind in a heart beat. What about people who are deaf? They don't get to experience the great music that we take for granted. I'm a selfish prick because I've never enough thought about that before. This video is of a girl performing the song 'Fuck You' by Cee Lo Green using sign language. Its funny that she performs the song with her entire body, and the people watching can get the beat from her motions. Its a really cool instance of someone who wanted to share something with people who can't enjoy it as easily as us. Really think about this video as you watch it, think about how cool this girl is for doing this. The girl also reminds me of a friend named Kristin.

Middle Brother - 'Me Me Me' New Song

Middle Brother releases their self titled album March 1st. This song has one of the worst guitar solo's I've ever heard. Its up beat and has a good sound so I can forgive that one fault.

Middle Brother - "Me, Me, Me" by crawdaddy

PLUG – “Body Story” Video

Stereogum premiered this video from the London based group. This isn't what I would call amazing music. In fact I have no doubt that any one of you could play this song in its entirety with very little direction. While that's all true, it doesn't mean the music isn't viable. I'm not the artsy type, but I think I understand what this band is going for, and it maybe simplistic but its something they've made and its not half bad. The bands self titled album is out later this month.

THE FAMINE - "VII The Fraudulent" New Song

Last week I posted the first song released 'Ad Mortem' from the bands upcoming album "The Architects Of Guilt". I'm sold on this album with the song. I was worried that it would just be another Deathcore album but it seems to be heavily influenced by thrash and that's a win in my book! You can check out the new song below.  "The Architects Of Guilt" is out February 15th.

Vanden Plas - "Holes In The Sky" New Video

What is it about steam punk setting that is so awesome. I know its all done in after effects or whatever but the look of this video is awesome. I'm always down with some turning gears! The song is pretty decent. It sounds to me like a Dream Theater song that never goes into a crazy solo section. While this band my be less talented than the members of Dream Theater they still seem to catch that passion in their music. This song is off of the bands album 'The Seraphic Clockwork' which was released last year.

Mogwai - "San Pedro"

Its not often that I post rock music on the site and not because I don't want to. A lot of times rock music is so bland and boring and nothing ever stands out about a band or song. Well today I present to you Mogwai! This song which is an instrumental, ROCKS. The bands album 'Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will' will be released mid February. Enjoy 'San Pedro'!

Imbroglio - 'December' New Song

Decibel magazine posted this new song and I have to sit and wonder why this is a big deal. Its not that the song is bad, its actually decent. What makes this band news worthy?  I understand just because I've not heard of a band doesn't mean they aren't popular. It just seems odd that I'm just now hearing about the band. Check out the new song below and be sure to visit DECIBEL for more info on the band. The bands second record 'Sleep Deprivation' will be released on the 18th of January.

La Sera – “Devils Hearts Grow Gold” New Song

'Devils Hearts Grow Gold' is featured on the bands self titled album due out in February. This is another side project that is helmed by a band who has another side project called Babies, which I posted on last week. The sound of this band reminds me of early Radiohead.
